About Caroline Bogart
Hello. I am Caroline Bogart.
I am a programmer, writer, researcher, and web developer.
I build free websites for animal rescues.
I was once featured in the Boston Globe for teaching programming to out-of-work programmers so we could build a website for a homeless shelter.
My path into the world of wellness began out of simple curiosity.
While researching the effects of electromagnetic fields on health and healing, I stumbled across intriguing mentions of “red light therapy.”
At first, using specific wavelengths of light as a therapeutic modality seemed a bit far-fetched.
But then, my husband and I personally experienced the powerful anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects of red light devices for issues like arthritis and muscle aches.
I was hooked.
Driven by a passion for exploring natural, non-pharmaceutical paths to wellness, I immersed myself in the scientific research behind photobiomodulation, the technical term for red light therapy.
I pored over hundreds of published studies and was determined to understand biological mechanisms.
I discovered how specific red and near-infrared wavelengths can recharge cellular mitochondria, our body’s energy source, facilitating innumerable healing processes.
The more I learned, the more I realized the vast potential of red light therapy backed by solid evidence.
Red light’s effects are ubiquitous because it can optimize mitochondrial function at the cellular level, reducing dementia symptoms and stimulating hair regrowth, diminishing wrinkles and acne, blocking pain signals, and enhancing wound healing.
I became obsessed with sharing these powerful benefits with others through education.
I started this blog to explain the often complex science of photobiomodulation in easy-to-understand terms.
My goal is to empower readers, especially consumers, with knowledge about leveraging red light therapy safely and effectively in their everyday lives.
What drives me is watching people experience the seemingly miraculous yet science-backed effects for themselves — reducing inflammation, managing chronic pain, regaining cognitive clarity, or achieving better skin health.
Red light therapy unlocks our innate ability to heal ourselves without drugs or invasive treatments.
You’ll notice my approach is unique in its commitment to scientific validation.
Rather than making unsupported claims, I rely on published research as the foundation for all my content.
This academic diligence stems from my journey discovering red light therapy, a path paved with curiosity, rigorous investigation, and consistent experience of its healing potential.
While this blog is my main educational platform, I’m also active in online red light communities, answering questions and sharing insights.
Looking ahead, I hope to continue opening my eyes to the possibilities of photobiomodulation as a powerful, non-invasive tool for reducing suffering, combating aging, and unlocking higher levels of human potential.
For me, red light therapy represents the leading edge of a self-care revolution that enhances our biology’s natural healing capabilities through light, technology, and energy-based principles.
In many ways, my passion for sharing this wisdom is an extension of a lifelong quest to discover and promote holistic solutions for chronic conditions like pain and inflammation.
Suppose my work empowers even a few people with the knowledge to improve their health and well-being through safe, affordable red light therapy without unnecessary drugs or procedures.
In that case, I’ll consider my mission a success.
I’m excited to continue this educational journey alongside a growing community embracing the future of energetic healing.
As Well You Should is my site where I help you find the right light therapy device for your situation.
